Aftercare for homes that already have solar

Take Control of the Energy Your Home Already Produces.

Guardian Care turns your existing solar and battery system into clear, actionable energy intelligence — showing what you generate, use, store, export and still pay the grid for.

Works alongside your existing system — whoever installed it.

The blind spot

You Have Solar. But Do You Know Where Your Energy Is Going?

Most homes with solar or storage were never given a clear picture after installation. None of this means something is wrong — it simply means there is more to see, and often more control available to you.

Energy exported instead of used

Solar you generated may be sent to the grid at times when your home could have used or stored it instead.

Battery timing that could be better

Batteries sometimes charge or discharge at moments that don't line up with how your household actually uses power.

Grid electricity bought unnecessarily

Some imported units could potentially be avoided by shifting when energy is stored or consumed.

High or unstable voltage

Supply voltage can affect how a system performs. It's simply worth measuring and understanding.

Equipment worth reviewing

Inverters, consumer units and protection equipment age. A review tells you where you stand — nothing more.

Export arrangements left unclear

FIT, deemed export or SEG setups are rarely explained clearly after installation. We record yours plainly.

The energy flow

Every Unit of Energy Has a Journey

Guardian Care analyses each part of that journey to show how much of your energy is free, stored, exported, purchased — and how much may simply be going to waste.

Solar Generation

We track daily, monthly and annual generation and compare it to the expected output for your system size, age and orientation.

Ten plain-English views of your own system. No jargon, no technical overload — just what is happening and what it means.

Solar Generation

Daily, monthly and annual kWh produced by your panels, in plain numbers.

Home Consumption

How much electricity your property is actually using across the day.

Free Electricity Used

The solar energy consumed directly in your home — the cheapest energy you have.

Battery Performance

Charging, discharging, state of charge and the timing behind each.

Grid Import

kWh bought from your supplier and the estimated cost based on your tariff.

Grid Export

Energy sent back to the network and its estimated value to you.

Guardian Care Insight

You exported 5.1 kWh today while purchasing 3.4 kWh later from the grid. Adjusting battery discharge timing may help you use more of your own energy.

These are example figures used to show how the insight works. Your own dashboard uses your system's actual data and your recorded tariff details.

Onboarding

Start With Your Existing System.

Everything begins with what is already at your property. We record the details of your system as it stands today, then build a simple energy profile from it.

Guardian Care then flags what is working well, what is worth reviewing, and where more savings awareness or control may be available to you. Anything relating to electrical equipment, protection, DNO or MCS matters is always subject to assessment and your actual installation.

Assess My Existing System

What the assessment captures

  • Solar system size and panel count
  • Install year
  • Inverter make and age
  • Batteries and storage capacity
  • Annual generation
  • Annual electricity consumption
  • Import and export tariff
  • FIT or SEG details
  • Smart meter
  • Voltage readings
  • Consumer unit and surge protection information
  • DNO / MCS information where available

Understand My Energy

Know exactly what is generated, consumed, stored, exported and purchased — day by day, in plain numbers.

Reduce Grid Dependence

Use more of your self-generated electricity and look at optimising battery and tariff behaviour around your household.

Protect My System

Receive alerts and recommendations when performance, voltage or equipment looks like it needs attention.

Daily guidance

What Should I Do Today?

Guardian Care turns your data into simple suggestions. Most days the answer is reassuringly short.

Use washing machine between 11am–2pm — solar generation is forecast to be strongest.

Battery is only 18% charged. Consider reviewing your overnight charge schedule.

Your grid import is higher than your recent average.

System operating normally — no action needed.

Example suggestions. Your own advice depends on your system, tariff and usage patterns.

Export & earnings

Understand What Your Solar Is Earning.

Depending on when your system was installed and who supplies you, you may have a FIT, a deemed export arrangement or an SEG agreement. Guardian Care records your actual tariff information and shows your estimated generation and export value in simple terms.

Feed-in Tariff (FIT)

Older systems may have a FIT arrangement with generation and export elements. We record what applies to you rather than assuming.

Deemed export

Some arrangements assume a proportion of generation is exported instead of metering it directly.

Smart Export Guarantee (SEG)

Newer systems may be paid for measured export by a chosen supplier, with rates varying between suppliers and over time.

We do not quote universal tariff values. All estimates are based on the tariff details recorded for your property and are indicative only.

Your standing charge is normally payable even when you use very little grid electricity.

Guardian Care separates this fixed cost from your usage cost, so you can clearly see which part of your bill you can actually influence.

Aftercare

Your Energy System Shouldn't Be Forgotten After Installation.

Many homeowners never hear from their installer again. Guardian Care exists for the years that follow — quietly watching, summarising and advising.

Ongoing monitoring

Your system keeps producing data long after installation day. We keep reading it.

Monthly summaries

A short, readable summary of generation, usage, export and grid cost each month.

System alerts

If something looks off — performance, voltage or battery behaviour — you hear about it.

Support & reviews

Periodic performance reviews and practical recommendations, explained in plain English.
